Our Purpose
We are the students of Norwalk High School and we have created this website to spread the word on our newly bought 3-D printer. We use our printer mostly for creating prosthetics for people in need. We love the opportunity and satisfaction of giving people a chance because in the end we are all equal. We started very small but looking forward to expanding! We have a page on how we started as a team and an amazing and genuine story on a little boy who we've helped!

Our amazing team of students |
Our instructor |
It all started with our team captain at Norwalk High, Luis Vega, who wrote our grant on DonorsChoose.org to fund our 3-D printer. Shortly after, we had a team of many students. Every year we try to request more and more help from intelligent students. Today, our team consists of sophomores, juniors and seniors. Next school year, we will include freshmen as well.
Currently, we have our senior co-captain who is Danny Zarante. Our other captains are Alex Ruther and Alex Morrissey. Our junior co-captains are James Roberts and Emma Guilbault. Our sophomore co-captains are Sal Campanga and Jasmine Martins. We have one member on an internship named Vasilios Seitaridis. Our final members are Ja'kari McRae and Brianna Kennerly. |
Our team wouldn't be a team without our instructor, Mary-Beth Morrison. She had the most brilliant idea to create this team to help those in need and she has been the best teacher even before the team was created.
Mary-Beth is currently an engineering teacher to all grades at Norwalk High. She always kept an eye out for students that were achieving beyond her goals in her regular classes. Whoever wanted to have a career in engineering, Mrs. Morrison was the woman to go to. Mary-Beth has the most bubbly and bright personality that always kept students smiling and on task. |
Motto and Mission Statement of 3-D Team
The Three Dimensions of the 3-D Team
|
Mission Statement
The 3-D team is dedicated to promoting the use of 3-D printing for community service projects. We recognize we live in a global community and want to fulfill our responsibility to be active members of that community to help those less fortunate than ourselves. Using the design process as a framework for problem solving we seek to create solutions to problems, and print functional prototypes of those solutions to affect actual change in the lives of those we serve. |
